Hi Everyone!

There are some new updates to Primtionary that I would like to share with everyone.
Primtionary has moved to a new location and the other change is Primtinary has hired a new host. The new location is working out wonderfully as is the new Host. With the new host we are back to having Primtionary once a day 7 days a week, thank you Hooten. Hope to see you here at Primtionary for a fun time.

Hello Everyone,
It has been a long time since I typed any comments here. Primtionary is still going on and going strong. It is a great game that is a lot of fun. The education sector likes it for the logical thinking and the vocabulary part of it along with the social part of it. Some of the great builders started at Primtionary, it is not just for the people that know how to build it is for everyone. Great builders to new residence into Second Life are welcome. The schedule has changed and we have lost a great manager that helped Primtionary out a lot and was a great host but gained a great host that now runs Primtionary in German. The schedule is as follows:

Primtionary is for hire, meaning you can hire Primtionary for your land. It really is a lot of fun. Primtionary has been out and about in many sims and has worked out very well. POPULAR SL GAME "PRIMTIONARY"
WHAT IS PRIMTIONARY?
Having run for over three and a half years straight, Primtionary is one of the most - if the not THE most - popular group game in Second Life. An experience truly unique to the virtual world, Primtionary is the modern Pictionary: One person gets up on stage and is given a secret word by the host which describes what they have to build. As they build the audience tries to figure out what the word is. The first person to guess the word wins a token prize - currently 25 Lindens per word - and, more importantly, the privilege of building the next word.

Primtionary is run daily, sometimes even twice a day, free of charge and is open to all. Many experienced SL builders, including even some of the Lindens, acquired their essential skills on a Primtionary stage and still frequent it regularly. The head host and official owner of Primtionary is Yummie Olsen. She is assisted by a cadre of experienced residents when hosting the game.
WHY WOULD YOU WANT PRIMTIONARY HOSTED AT YOUR LAND?
Primtionary has been hosted for so long that it does bring a lot of great people and it is a great social event. Want to get your land out there? Get others to know about it? Well there's no better way to attract people and to let people know about your place. Primtionary events at your place are a great way to attract traffic and to get the word out about your place.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST YOU TO HAVE PRIMTIONARY AT YOUR SIM, ON YOUR LAND?
The cost to have Primtionary held on your sim is 3000 Lindens plus the prize money, which is usually about 375 Lindens. If you pay fully in advance (3375 Lindens) I will pay out the prizes to the winners during the game. I will always run Primtionary to the highest standard and, as always, I will send out notices and IMs to everyone in the Primtionary groups, which means the announcements will reach about 300 people.
Accredited Educational Universities will get a discounted price of 2375.
For that price I will set up the auditorium, and host for an hour. If you want it to be a weekly event we can arrange for a price for that if it is going to be a regular event which there will be a discount since I wont have to keep setting up and tearing down the auditorium.

Primtionary Instructions

Primtionary Instructions:
To play: Think of what level you can build on, as to how good you can build. There is Easy, Medium, Hard, Evil and Impossible. Tell me out loud what level you are at in building. I will give you a word in Instant messenger for you to build that is on your level of building. The game consists of one player "building a word". The first person that guesses the correct word wins that round and 25 Lindens and is entitled to build on the next round.
Please remove all of your build off the stage.
Building letters is not allowed you are not allowed to spell the word out or even part of the word, can use letters for the build but not if the letter is in the word. Custom textures, colors for prims are allowed. No textures that are the word. As in mural, you can't put a mural texture on the prim. It does need to be built on stage, so you cannot pull something out of your inventory.
What is allowed is the CC shapes out of prims colored green means SOUNDS LIKE. The CC is the syllable for an ear and that is why it is for the sounds like. You can also use + if you need to break down the word into syllables. You can use a green arrow to point at what you want them to see or say.
No scripts are to be used in the build, and no sculpties allowed.
If you have any questions, feel free to IM Yummie Olsen as she is the one that runs the Primtionary events.
If you are stuck on a word given, please feel free to IM the host to get some help, or to get some clues going, or to have the host help in building, we are not looking to embarrass anyone.

Back from SLCC Tampa

I am back from Tampa and I did promote Primtionary there. I passed out a lot of pens and I also passed out a lot of business cards. Tampa was a lot of fun and I got to meet a lot of people that are interested in Primtionary. At the moment I do own Primtionary.net but at the moment I dont have a webpage designer and I dont know how, but in the future, check there for all Primtionary information.

Primtionary for Memorial Day Events

Hi!
Some wonderful events taking place this weekend. There will be live music starting at 4sl time with Frogg Marlowe, and at 5pm sl time Grateful will be playing next followed by Spaceman Opus Djing through Primtionary. There is also a Primtionary Hunt going on with Bottles hidden on the Sim with Pictures in them. Put them in a notecard of what the builds are and number them with your name on it. the first person that gets them right will win 1000L.

The rules of Impossibles

Hello,
Well to inform everyone on the rules of Impossibles. Ok well I had a bunch of people contacting me about the impossibles taking up the time of the Primtionary event. I then put in place the timer, at the same time was also the thought floating around to limit Impossibles to one per player per event. This is a way so that the audience does not get bored trying to figure out words for the whole event that they have never ever heard of. It can make the event a total drag, a long drawn out event with a bunch of words that you have never saw in you life. Now to reiterate the rules:

The timer will be in place for all events except the new builders event that I host on Saturdays at 11am.

The other rule will be on Impossible level choice per person per event.

I hope everyone is OK with this, I am trying to please everyone. If you have questions let me know or post them here.

Primtionary Changes

Well there are going to be a few changes so that I will be able to run it alone. As Primtionary has grown and more hosts have come aboard I have always had help. There is one person that has helped me and Primtionary along, for the list that this person has done, well it is not even countable. It was all the stuff behind the scenes that this person has done. Now for me to do it alone, yes I can, and I do believe that. I just got to learn how. I Hope everyone can deal with the changes coming and will stick by Primtionary. As for some of the changes well, not going to hide it, Spaceman Opus did a great deal for Primtionary, I can't even tell anyone how much he did. As I learn to take it all on, please forgive me on learning and planning and scheduling. There will be a new schedule coming out for Primtionary so that I will be able to be there at the times it is hosted to be able to clean things up and deal with the griefers and such. Spaceman Opus was the co-host of Primtionary, if you see him around thank him for all that Primtionary has become, with out him it wouldn't have come this far. as for a new schedule, do stay tuned to this blog, and to my profile, I will have it posted in there. This is an all new change for me, an all new change for Primtionary, and for the audience. Not anything major, but as for the schedule I am going to have to make sure that it is scheduled so I can be available to deal with returning prims, deal with griefers to boot them, and so I can be deal with complaints and stuff like that. Primtionary with a timer

Primtionary Changes

Ok well some new things have happened to Primtionary. I have implemented a timer which will give people more of a chance to build. The timer is set for 10 minutes, but let me tell you, 10 minutes is longer then you think when you are up there building. Not to sweat tho, don't get to scared, if you are struggling there are always the hosts there, it is what they are for. At the 5 minute warning that is when they are to start giving clues. The timer is mainly to make sure the audience doesn't get bored with long drawn out builds which is what started happening. So far the timer has not been a problem for anyone and has gotten good reviews. The one event when the timer is not used is for new builders primtionary.

Hiring a Host

The Thursday position was filled and now i am needing a host for Sunday afternoons. For the job i am looking for 20 references. That is 20 people in second life that are active members of second life. The person i am looking to hire will need to be an active member in second life, and of Primtionary, you cant host what you don't know and you have to learn the dynamics of the game. At the same time i am looking to expand Primtionary in many directions so a host is in need for me to expand.

Yay for primtionary. Ok so, so far primtionary is going well, Primtionary is being hosted Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, as for the Thursdays I am in the process of getting that day filled. Primtionary is going very well, and the hosts that are there are wonderful. I could never host all those days alone. I am thankful that they host there.

The SL4B Primtionary

I really have to thank the hosts that helped out with the Primtionary for the SL4B, I can't thank them enough. There is no way i could have hosted the whole week alone. Found enough hosts to help out and boy am I so thankful. The SL4B is going well so far, not to many problems, only got hit one time from a griefer and well not going to say it was a fun time but we all survived. Primtionary will be played a lot more, and all the hosts will continue hosting at the original stage at asim zahra. We will be getting into a more normal schedule after the Second Life 4th Birthday event is over. I will be posting the new Primtionary schedule here too.

Ok now on to the hiring. I am thinking to hire someone, i want 20 References, yes 20. And all references must be 6 months old and with good standing in groups, yes i am know what a pain. go figure. But with second life as we all know it is hard to trust people who are online. So i am yes going to rake you over the coals to make sure you are dependable. I need someone honest, dependable, upbeat, needs to have good typing skills, someone looking to have a fun time at hosting, someone with a good reputation in second life, meaning not someone that works the hooking scene, or dresses in see through clothing. Yes yes you read it right 20 references and the references have to be in upstanding groups. It is very hard to trust someone online, and i don't give out trust easily but........... now the upside of it is, yes you can earn lindens hosting since you do earn tips. Tips can range from 200-500 lindens per primtionary games. The tips depend on how good you are and how much fun the crowd has. The ideal number of a crowd to have is around 20 people. Seems to me the more people the better. Hosting is a lot of fun, it is work but the fun to be had at hosting is great. If you are interested let me know. My plans are to have a total of 6 hosts plus me. I do want to have a Primtionary run in just spanish, i think that would be wonderful.

Ok well, I am waiting on Siobhan and Freya to start up hosting. I need to find out if they are going to be hosting their own games of Primtionary. My goal lately is to see Primtionary make it big in second life. So I am going to wait like a week or two to see if they start hosting. If I see no movement on their end of hosting where they plan on hosting at, then I am planning on hiring more hosts at that time. More hosts for Primtionary means more games for everyone. It is my thought. If you have any input on being a host or any questions please IM me in game or leave a message here please.

Hi everyone, ok well feel free to IM me anytime with suggestions. In time I am thinking I will be needing more hosts. I would love to take on more Primtionary events to have different themes and a variety of different times. I have heard that Freya and Siobhan are suppose to be hosting Primtionary and I don't want to be selfish and take all the times to host. Not looking to hog all the times if they plan on hosting Primtionary. I am going to be waiting some time to see what they plan on doing. After a bit i am going to be picking up more times so that Primtionary will be hosted more through out second life. So far Primtionary is going good, a lot of fun. Saturday was surprised theme and a lot of fun. Spaceman Opus will be hosting on Monday at 2 SL time, hope to see everyone there.

Come one Come all, Let a friend know of the fun that can be had at Primtionary

Wednesday will be Theme night at Primtionary. If you dont know what Primtionary is, well let me tell you. Primtionary is a game in Second Life that is a lot of fun. It has been compared to Pictionary, the family board game or to the old tv show called Win, Lose, or Draw.

Primtionary is not all about building, it is about having fun and watching what the person on stage is building and guessing what is it they are building. Primtionary is a lot of fun cause it is a great social event with a wonderful crowd. It is good for new residence coming into Second Life as well as it is a fun event for people who have been in Second Life for a long time.

If you are new to Second Life there will be a Primtionary held for new residence starting soon. The difference between the regular Primtionary and the one for new residence will be the levels, in the one for new residence there will only be Easy and Medium. The new players will have to be under 60 days old to play. If you can bring out a prim, whether it be a block or a round wood object, from your create menu then you will be able to pick easy. If you can not do that, not to worry, the new residence Primtionary is there for learning. The regular Primtionary has 5 levels Easy, Medium, Hard, Evil, and Impossible. Primtionary is all about having a good time and enjoying the game. Primtionary for new residence will also win lindens just like the regular game of Primtionary for guessing the builds.

Others also host there for the second life afternoons at 2pm Second Life time. On Mondays Spaceman Opus hosts at 2pm sl time, and on Fridays Rose Farina hosts at 2pm sl time.
